About Dr. Lockwood
Dr. Lockwood graduated from UCLA in 1970 with a degree in Microbiology, and went on to Georgetown University School of Dentistry for his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
Following dental school, he spent the next ten years on active duty with the Navy. During his time in the Navy, he completed a two year post graduate residency in Prosthodontics at the National Naval Dental center in Bethesda, Maryland.
In 1982, he left the Navy and entered private practice in San Diego, California, and remained there until the fall of 2007, when he and his family moved to Spokane.
As a Prosthodontist, Dr. Lockwood has had the opportunity to treat many complex dental cases. He has a vast knowledge of numerous different implant systems, and is frequently asked to trouble shoot difficult cases with failed parts and fixtures.
Dr. Lockwood works directly with new patients, as well as by referral from General Dentists and specialists.
His professional affiliations include the Spokane District Dental Society, Washington State Dental Association, American Dental Association, Spokane Study Club.
He has been awarded the status of Fellow, American College of Prosthodontists (FACP).
Dr. Lockwood, his wife Michelle (who grew up in Washington), and their two children all enjoy hunting, camping, fishing and horse back riding.
